Volkswagen has announced prices for the Taigun GT Sport Line models, which it showcased a month ago at its 2024 annual brand conference. The Taigun Sport Line range, including the GT Line and GT Plus Sport, gets a few cosmetic changes on the inside as well as outside. Also on offer is either a manual or an automatic transmission. Prices for the Sport Line range starts at ₹14.08 lakh, ex-showroom. Here's more.

Volkswagen Taigun GT Sport Line range exterior and interior changes

We begin with the Taigun GT Line. It's the more affordable entry in the Sport Line range. On the outside, it gets 17-inch black alloys, a blackened out front grille which is flanked by black LED headlights. Black door handles, ORVMs and spoiler. All these gloss black elements are nicely contrasted by matte black B- and C-pillars. On the inside the SUV gets a black roof liner, sun visors, dashboard and grey stitching on its steering, armrests and fabric plus leatherette seats.

The Taigun GT Plus Sport on the other hand gets more (in addition to everything on the outside from the GT Line). For starters, it has Red GT badges on the front grille, fender and boot lid. But unlike the GT Line, this vehicle features gloss black B- and C-pillars, and. Carbon Steel roof, for a stealthier look. On the inside it gets leatherette seats with GT badge and red stitching on its steering and armrests. In addition to this it also gets red ambient lighting. It also gets sporty aluminium pedals.

Volkswagen Taigun GT Sport Line range engine and transmission

The Taigun GT Sport Line range is available in both 1-litre and 1.5-litre guise. The GT Line gets the smaller engine producing 113bhp and 178Nm. The GT Plus Sport on the other hand gets the enthusiast’ favorite 1.5-litre mill generating 148bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. Both the models are available either with a six-speed manual or an automatic gearbox (six-speed torque converter with the 1-litre mill and seven-speed DSG with the 1.5).

Volkswagen Taigun GT Sport Line range pricing

The Taigun GT Sport Line range starts with the Taigun GT Line MT priced at ₹14.08 lakh, ex-showroom. If you want the automatic on it, be prepared to shell out ₹15.63 lakh. The sportier Taigun GT Plus Sport starts at ₹18.53 lakh for the six-speed manual and the Taigun GT Plus Sport AT demands ₹19.73 lakh of your hard earned money.
