Gone are the days when motorsports used to be a costly dream. TVS Racing in partnership with KidZania has introduced India’s first young racers programme that will aim to nurture talent for the future. TVS racing says that this program will provide kids with the opportunity to get into motorsports at an early age, helping them hone their skills and learn more about the sport.
With a legacy of over 40 years, TVS Racing has taken pride in manufacturing the majority of motorsport champions in India. From winning international championships in Sri Lanka in 2011 to being the first Indian manufacturer to participate in the Dakar rally in 2015, TVS has come a long way in its racing journey. This partnership with KidZania will ensure that kids get to enter the world of motorsport at an early age.
KidZania has been known for creating experiences for kids in the 2–16 age group. The business aims to give kids a special chance to learn and socialise with other kids through role-playing. Currently operating in the Delhi-NCR region and in Mumbai, the company plans to expand its network to several other cities. The partnership between TVS Racing and KidZania will ensure that kids get to experience the world of motorsport at an early age.
Vimal Sumbly, Head Business-Premium, said that the KidZania experience is likely to prepare new talents for the TVS Rookie Cup, which is a motorcycle racing championship for peers between the ages of 13 and 17 years of age.
The TVS Racing Experience Zone in KidZania will provide a variety of kid-friendly activities in an effort to develop better motorcycle riders for the future. These will include a TVS racing simulator, a race track to hone the skills, facilities to learn to assemble an Apache RR 310, and an opportunity for kids to design their own Apache motorcycles. TVS Racing also announced that it will launch a merchandise range for kids, becoming the first company in India to do so.
