From the Safari Dark Edition, to the iCNG twins, and more recently the Kaziranga lineup, Tata Motors has been on a roll lately, and things are just getting better. It’s no secret the Nexon is among the car maker’s top-selling products in India, and Tata Motors is now celebrating the roll-out of 3 lakh units by introducing a new Royale Blue paint scheme, and launching four new variants, prices for which range from Rs 10.86 lakh to Rs 12.23 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
The four new variants are the XZ+ (P), XZA+ (P), XZ+ (HS), and XZA+ (HS), which will be offered among the top trim levels. There are no changes in terms of the design, powertrain or anything else under the skin, but you do get some new equipment which we’ll come to in a bit. For reference, the Nexon can be had with either a 1.2-litre turbo petrol which produces 113.8bhp and 170Nm of torque, or a 1.5-litre turbo diesel which churns out 108.5bhp and 260Nm of torque.
Talking about the equipment on offer, the Nexon XZ+ (P) and XZA+ (P) variants get ventilated front seats upholstered in Premium Benecke Kaliko leather, an air purifier and an auto-dimming IRVM in addition to all the kit offered on the standard top-end variant. The Nexon XZ+ (HS) and XZA+ (HS) receive only the air purifier in addition to the equipment on the standard top-end variant. You can buy these variants with the Nexon Dark as well with the additional features.
Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd, and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd said, “It is indeed a moment of pride to witness the roll – out of the 3,00,000th Tata Nexon – a landmark product in the turnaround of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles. Being an integral part of the New Forever range, brand Nexon has successfully established its popularity in the compact SUV segment since its launch in 2017 and has become a part of many families. Adding to the popularity of the ICE variant, the Nexon EV too has created a niche for itself and has gained immense recognition from its customers. The story of building a strong and safe SUV brand started with the Nexon – being the first Global NCAP 5 star rated car in India. Creating benchmarks in safety, Tata Nexon has also been widely appreciated for its striking design, superior ride and handling characteristics, spirited performance, and comfort.”
