This year, Royal Enfield is celebrating 120 years since its first-ever motorcycle to break cover, and with three hugely important unveils, the bikemaker has kicked off EICMA 2021 in style! The Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT 650 120th Anniversary Editions have been showcased at the 2021 EICMA Motor Show, with cosmetic upgrades and special accessories keeping in line with the bikemaker’s 120th anniversary. The Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT 650 120th Anniversary Editions will be offered in India through an online sale on December 6, which will be hosted on the company’s website.

So how exactly are the Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT 650 120th Anniversary Editions different than their regular iterations? For starters, both motorcycles receive a new Black Chrome paint scheme, followed by blacked-out treatment on the engine, silencer, spoke rims, shock absorbers, and other exposed mechanical bits as opposed to chrome offered on their standard counterparts. The GMA accessory pack offered by Royal Enfield will also be offered in a black paint scheme, which includes kit such as the engine guard, flyscreen, bar-end mirrors, and heel guards. Some impressive touches — the top badge on the tank will feature a unique serial number, and the side panels get a new decal paying homage to Royal Enfield’s 120 years. Both motorcycles also feature a new, unique die-cast brass tank badge, along with the trademark Royal Enfield pinstriping usually seen on the Bullet Standard 350 nowadays.

Siddhartha Lal, Managing Director of Eicher Motors Ltd. said, “Few brands can celebrate the kind of legacy and history that Royal Enfield has enjoyed over the last century and a lot of this legacy is from the immense love the brand has received from riders through the ages. There was simply no better way of celebrating this milestone than sharing a piece of it with our consumers around the world. We are delighted to bring the 120th Anniversary Edition 650 Twin motorcycles to enthusiasts around the world, and share the brand’s legacy with them. Both the Interceptor and the Continental GT are hugely successful around the world today, as they were in the 1960’s, and truly represent our heritage of making simple and enjoyable motorcycles”

We expect the motorcycles to command a premium over their standard variants. Registrations begin from November 24, while the online sale will take place on December 6.
