The facelifted Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 has been launched in India at ₹3.35 crore, which is ₹92 lakh over the previous one. It gets a redesigned grille, new bumper design with Maybach logo in the air inlets and new customisation options for the interior. The M177 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine has been retained but it makes slightly more power now.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 gets a slightly redesigned Maybach grille at the front with the bonnet-mounted three-pointed star, redesigned bumper and Maybach logos on the vertical air-inlets. It rides on 22-inch or optional 23-inch Maybach wheels. At the rear, it gets new signatures for the LED tail-lamps and new Maybach tail pipes. The GLS 600 is available in Black, Polar White and Silver Metallic colours as standard and also gets optional dual-tone colours.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 gets a five-seater configuration as standard and an optional four-seater configuration in which the rear seats get an extended center console in a waterfall design, a fridge and champagne glasses. It gets massage and ventilated seats, and a new steering wheel design with more options. The latest MBUX software gets an interior assistant, guard 360 degree vehicle protection, level 2 ADAS and E-active body control. The interior upholstery gets additional colour options now for a personalised touch.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 houses a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that puts out 550bhp and 730Nm. It also gets an ISG (integrated starter generator) that gives an additional boost of 21bhp and 250Nm. 0 to 100kmph comes up in 4.2 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 250kmph.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 has been priced at ₹3.35 crore, which is ₹92 lakh more than the pre-facelifted version. Its only true rival is the Range Rover which is priced at ₹2.4 crore.
