Along with the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the carmaker is also gearing up to launch its more premium offering — the XL6. Much like its upcoming sibling, the facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6 will also carry design tweaks and some additional equipment. The XL6 facelift will be the second Nexa offering to be launched this year, and interested customers can book the upcoming XL6 for Rs 11,000.
What can I expect from the facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6?
The most obvious change would be in terms of its design — while the facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6 will continue to retain its basic silhouette, there will be some tweaks here and there to keep it fresh and relevant for our market. Under the hood, things are expected to remain the same, with the 1.5-litre mild-hybrid powertrain expected to carry over from the outgoing model, which produces 103bhp at 6000rpm and 138Nm of torque at 4400rpm. The XL6 will also most likely receive a six-speed automatic transmission from the Ertiga facelift, which will replace the existing four-speed automatic transmission. Not much is known in terms of equipment, but we expect the facelifted XL6 to add some new features to make a good case for itself against its rivals.
CV Raman, Chief Technical Officer (Engineering), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, “The all-new XL6 will strike a perfect balance, which shall appeal to the modern car buyer. The all-new XL6 is a testament to our commitment to bring the newest technologies to our customers and to provide them with an extraordinary experience.”
Currently priced between Rs 10.14 to Rs 12.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), we expect the facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6 to be priced slightly higher once launched, and it will be offered via Maruti Suzuki’s premium Nexa dealerships.
