The MG Gloster Stormseries gets two variants — the Snowstrom and the Desertstorm — and both are priced at ₹41.05 lakh (ex-showroom). Both get the option of either rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive and they are powered by a 2-litre turbo-diesel engine which churns out different amounts of power depending on if you choose 2WD or 4WD. Essentially two new cosmetically different variants of the Gloster, here’s everything you need to know about them.
The Gloster Desertstorm gets a single-tone ‘Deep Golden’ paint with black highlights including alloys, front grille, outside rear view mirrors, door handles and roof rails. It also gets red accents in the headlights and red brake callipers which are a neat touch. You can have the Gloster Desertstorm with either a six-seat, with captain chairs in the middle row, or a seven-seat layout. It gets an all-black interior complete with white stitching on the seats.
The Gloster Snowstorm gets a dual-tone pearl white plus gloss black paint job. It also gets a few blacked-out elements, like the Desertstorm, but a few additional red accents on the front diffuser and outside rear view mirror as well. Unlike the Desertstorm, the Snowstorm is available only in a seven-seat layout.
Both the variants are powered by a 2-litre turbo-diesel engine which makes 159bhp and 373Nm if you opt for two-wheel-drive or a higher 212bhp and 478Nm if you’ve ticked the option of four-wheel-drive. And both the variants are loaded to the brim with features like Level-2 ADAS, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, dual panoramic sunroof, a 12-way power-adjustable driver seat with ventilation, and a wireless charger. And if those options weren’t enough for you the Snowstorm variants get a few optional extras too — name tag badges, seat massagers, themed carpet mats, dashboard mats and a JBL surround sound system.
