Hyundai has released design renders that sport its new design language. The facelifted Hyundai Creta is set to launch on January 16, 2024, and will get a new engine option, updated exteriors and interiors.
The front of the Hyundai Creta facelift gets a new parametric black chrome grille with an upright hood design and new connected Horizon LED positioning lamp and DRLs. It gets quad-beam LED headlamps with sequential turn indicators. It also gets a new alloy wheel design, with the bold lines from the front carried onto the side as well. The rear gets new connected tail lamps, spoiler, a bumper design with skid plate and a redesigned tailgate. The six mono-tone colour options are Robust Emerald Pearl (new), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey and one dual-tone option in Atlas White with a Black Roof.
The Hyundai Creta facelift gets a new pair of two 10.25-inch integrated infotainment and digital cluster screens with an eight-speaker Bose sound system and ambient lighting. It gets leatherette treatment on the seats, the D-cut steering wheel, and the gear shifter. It gets an electronically powered driver’s seat with ventilated front seats. It also gets level 2 ADAS with over 19 features, a 360-degree camera and six airbags as standard. The second row gets headrest cushions and two-step recline function.
It gets the new 1.5-litre petrol turbo engine that makes 158bhp and 253Nm that debut on the Verna, alongside the 1.5-litre MPi petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine sold previously. The four transmission options available are DCT, IVT, AT and MT.
The Hyundai Creta facelift’s prices have not been revealed yet, but we expect it to be priced competitive with its immediate rival, the Kia Seltos. The Seltos is priced at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) for the GTX+ Petrol Turbo variant. The other rivals are Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Honda Elevate.
