The BMW iX xDrive50 is propelled by two electric motors generating a combined output of 516bhp and 765Nm of torque, which is nearly 200bhp and 135Nm over the xDrive40 variant. This power surge enables acceleration from 0 to 100kmph in just 4.6 seconds, outperforming rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz EQE (4.9-second) and the Audi Q8 e-tron(5.6-second). Equipped with a 111.5kWh battery, it gets a claimed range of 635km on a single charge. Charging convenience is enhanced with the capability to recharge from 10% to 80% in 35 minutes using a 195kW DC charger. BMW’s wallbox charger gets a 22 kW AC charger that can charge from 0% to 100% in 5.5 hours.
The BMW iX xDrive50 has a similar design language as the xDrive40. Standard features include 22-inch light-alloy wheels and air suspension. The standard Sport Package features sporty front and rear bumper covers and gloss black trim elements. For an added touch of exclusivity, the optional BMW Individual exterior line offers Titanium Bronze accents to the window trim strips, door handles, grille graphics, and badging. The car can be specced in a variety of colours like Mineral White, Phytonic Blue, Black Sapphire, Aventurine Red, Oxide Grey, and Storm Bay Metallic
Inside the BMW iX xDrive50’s cabin, there is an angled dashboard hosting a 12.3-inch instrument cluster complemented by a 14.9-inch infotainment system, and a new hexagonal steering wheel. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is supported, accompanied by an immersive 18-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. It also gets ventilated front seats. The rest of the cabin remains similar to the xDrive40.
The BMW iX xDrive50 is priced at Rs 1.40 crore and rivals the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV priced at Rs 1.39 crore and Audi Q8 e-tron priced at Rs 1.27 crore.
