BMW 6 Series 50 Jahre M Edition launched, prices start from Rs 72.90 lakh
The 6 Series is the second product out of ten to be offered in the 50 Jahre M Edition

Continuing the celebration mode, BMW has now launched the 6 Series 50 Jahre M Edition with prices starting from Rs 72.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The 6 Series 50 Jahre M Edition is the second product to be launched as part of BMW’s celebration plan after the M340i xDrive 50 Jahre that also made an appearance recently. This will be a limited edition model, although BMW hasn’t mentioned the exact number of units to be produced. The 6 Series 50 Jahre M will be offered in the 630i variant.
What’s new in the BMW 6 Series 50 Jahre M Edition?

The 6 Series 50 Jahre M Edition gets four new paint schemes to choose from — Tanzanite Blue Metallic, M Carbon Black, Bernina Grey Amber Effect, and Mineral White. The interiors are swathed in Natural leather Dakota upholstery with Cognac inserts and contrast stitching. Customers can opt for the M accessories package, and the Motorsport pack which further adds in a gloss-black finished kidney grille, carbonfibre and alcantara key fob, and 19-inch 647 M light alloy wheels finished in Jet Black.

The rear bench of the 6 Series features an electronically-adjustable backrest, and you also get powered sun blinds, comfort headrests, and two 10.2-inch HD touch screens. The 6 Series retains features such as four-zone climate control, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, M seatbelts, 12.3-inch infotainment system and instrument cluster with BMW OS 7.0, and parking assistant among others.
Powering the BMW 6 Series 50 Jahre M is a 2-litre four-cylinder twin-turbo petrol unit putting out 254bhp and 400Nm of torque, and is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This makes the 6 Series capable of completing a 0-100kmph run in just 6.5 seconds, and the 50 Jahre M retains the adaptive air suspension as well.
Launched at Rs 72.90 lakh, the BMW 6 Series 50 Jahre M will be offered in the 630i trim, and will be produced locally, albeit in limited numbers. The 6 Series 50 Jahre M is costlier than the standard 630i by Rs 3 lakh, and mainly goes up against the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. We cannot wait to see what BMW has next in line for us, can you?
