Auto Expo 2020: Everve Motor unveils its first electric scooter EF1

The Indian automobile scene is gearing up for an electric vehicle revolution in 2020. The long list of electric vehicles making their debut at the Auto Expo 2020 bears testimony to this fact. Pune-based Everve Motors' EF1 is one of them and was showcased for first time at the Auto Expo 2020.

The EF1 will come in two variants, one with a 3.3kW motor and a 5kW motor. The company said that the electric scooter will come with a premium quality ‘Dual’ battery that weighs 12kg each and with a lifespan of 5 years. While the battery will take 5 hours to charge completely using a normal AC charger, the DC fast charger can charge it from 0 to 50 percent in 1.5 hours.

While the claimed top speed of the EF1 is 110kmph which Everve claims to limit at 90kmph, the EF1 sprints from 0-60kmph in 8.73 second.

When it comes to the features, the EF1 comes with ABS along with in-built application that displays the range, battery status, maps, location, error codes and mode info. The company also claims to have tested the EF1 to a point that it can perform stunts like wheelie at ease. They also said that the EF1 has been conceptualised and built within a span of just three months. Currently in its prototype stage, the EF1 is set to hit the roads by the last quarter of 2020.
