2023 Ather 450X unveiled with updates

Ather has started 2023 with a bang. It has revealed the updated 450X with four new colour options: Salt Green, Cosmic Black, Lunar Grey and True Red, and an updated User Interface system as a part of its Atherstack 5.0 system update package.

A number of new features, such as a redesigned user interface, a new information layout, and Vector Maps created in collaboration with Google, are included in the Atherstack 5.0 software version. Ather has listened to customer feedback and improved the user interface of the maps. They load more smoothly and have similar options to display actual live traffic on how you would use it on your smartphone.

That's not all, also part of the Atherstack 5.0 package is the auto hill hold feature, which, as the name suggests, doesn't let the scooter roll back even after you've released the brakes on an incline. This system works on angles of upto 15 degrees. The brand also says that cruise control, crawl control and a more effective regeneration system will come as a part of over the air updates in the future.

The 450X will now come with an updated seat as well. It is narrower at the front , wider in the middle and steeper at the back for improved comfort. 5ft riders will be able to put their foot flat to the ground while at a traffic signal, easily now. It also has 14 per cent more cushioning for a softer ride.

Along with all these upgrades, Ather also unveiled the 'Ather Battery Protect plan' which is an extended warranty programme that boosts the existing 3 year warranty to 5 years! All new 450X scooters will come with this warranty package as standard, whereas existing customers can purchase it for an additional price.

Owners of Gen 1 Ather scooters can purchase this upgrade to the new 450X for Rs 90,000. Whereas newer consumers can buy it for 80,000.
