Panasonic Lumix S24-105mm F/4 Macro OIS Review

The Lumix S24-105mm F/4 Macro OIS is a very versatile lens with the minimum focal distance of 24mm allowing us to get really close to a subject. Its 6-stop optical stabiliser helps immensely when shooting handheld or even on a gimbal. This lens offers exemplary sharpness, even on a large zoom range while effectively controlling distortion and vignetting. Chromatic aberration is very well controlled too. While not being a classic 1:1 macro, it allows you the option to get some close-up shots, a boon while shooting video outdoors.

For the large focal length and macro capability that it offers, the Lumix S 24-105mm f/4 Macro OIS is relatively compact and lightweight(680g). This allowed our video team to lug around the lens as the primary lens for long durations.
