The Himalayan Sleet features a new camouflage paint scheme and is limited to 500 unitsIndia’s homebred bike manufacturer, Royal Enfield, has introduced the Himalayan Sleet. The adventure tourer features a new camouflage paint scheme taking inspiration from the mighty Himalayas. The first 500 customers will get an Explorer kit pre-fitted on the motorcycle at an introductory price of RS 2.12 lakh (on-road, Chennai). The kit includes two 26 litres water resistant aluminium panniers, pannier mounting rails, aluminium handlebar with cross brace and an engine bash guard with powder coated finish.
The Himalayan Sleet is be available exclusively for online booking at a token amount of Rs 5000. Interested buyers can register themselves on the Royal Enfield website from January 12 to January 30, 2018. Post registration, customers will be given a unique code which would be required to participate in the sale. The sale will go live on January 30, 2018 on first come first serve basis and interested buyers need to login on the RE website and pay the token amount.
There are no mechanical updates in the motorcycle. The newly launched Himalayan Sleet is essentially the same bike featuring a 411cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor that pumps out 24.5bhp of maximum power and 32Nm of peak torque.
