The Hero Destini 125 has been given a fresh makeover, positioning itself as a more premium offering in the competitive 125cc scooter segment. With a sleeker design, extended features, and subtle yet eye-catching updates like copper contrasts and projector headlamps, the new Destini aims to appeal to urban commuters looking for style and practicality.
The Destini 125 has received a design overhaul over the outgoing model and gets copper contrasts in the top variant. Lower variants continue with chrome accents. It continues with LED indicators but now features a projector headlamp instead of the LED headlamp from earlier. With the new design, the seat has also been extended. Not much change is seen in the features list. Higher variants still get a Bluetooth-enabled digital cluster while the base variant gets a digital/analogue cluster. It continues with a USB charging port, i3S tech, boot lamp and rear seat backrest. Now, the Destini benefits from auto-switch-off blinkers and an illuminated start switch.
One of the most critical improvements on the Destini comes courtesy of a longer wheelbase and 12-inch wheels (10-inch wheels earlier). The higher two variants come with diamond-cut alloys whereas the base variant gets standard alloys.
The powertrain remains the same with a 125cc single-cylinder producing 9bhp and 10.4Nm of torque. Fuel efficiency is claimed to be 59kmpl.
While the price havent revealed yet, the outgoing model used to start from Rs 80,048 and Rs 86,538 (ex-showroom) for the top-end XTEC variants. With these upgrades, expect the price to go up slightly. Options in the 125cc segment are vast including TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa and Dio and Suzuki Access.
