Ultraviolette Automotive has officially launched the F99 Factory Racing Platform, marking a significant milestone as India’s first superbike. Designed and engineered entirely in Bengaluru, the F99 aims to redefine the Indian motorcycle landscape with a power output surpassing any current production motorcycle from an Indian manufacturer. In a bold move, Ultraviolette plans to claim records for the highest top speed and the fastest quarter-mile time for Indian motorcycles within the next 90 days.
The F99 was first showcased at EICMA 2023, where it drew attention for its advanced features. The motorcycle sports an aluminium frame, carbonfibre bodywork, and a kerb weight of only 178kg, significantly lighter than its predecessor, the F77. It incorporates a sophisticated active aerodynamics system, inspired by supersonic fighter jets, optimising airflow and reducing drag at high speeds. Additionally, the F99 features an innovative ‘Air-Blade’ technology that adapts to lean angles during cornering, enhancing downforce and stability.
The F99 is designed with performance in mind, featuring a liquid-cooled motor powered by an air-cooled battery pack. With a claimed top speed of 265kmph and a 0-100kmph time of just 3 seconds, it’s certainly exciting.
Claiming it as India's first-ever superbike, designed and engineered entirely in Bengaluru, Ultraviolette has big claims with the F99. By claiming a power output exceeding that of any Indian production motorcycle, the F99 aims to set records for the highest top speed and fastest quarter mile within the next 90 days. This initiative underscores India’s evolving role as a hub for innovation in the motorcycle industry, moving beyond its traditional manufacturing reputation. The F99’s development reflects Ultraviolette's commitment to advancing technology-enabled design and establishing a world-class brand in performance motorcycling.
