The Space Edition of Ultraviolette's F77 electric motorcycle has been launched at Rs 5.60 lakh and will be limited to only 10 units in production. The automaker says that this limited-edition motorcycle will pay homage to India’s space odyssey and contribution to aerospace technology.

Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition styling

The Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition has a similar design to the other two variants of the motorcycle. However, the Space Edition comes in an exclusive Cosmic White paint scheme, which the company claims is aerospace-grade paint. The automaker also claims that the paint used provides corrosion protection, UV and fade resistance, chemical resistance, and thermal stability. The motorcycle also has special graphics that indicate that it is one of only ten units ever produced.

Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition features

The Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition now includes avionics technology and features. Multiple fail-safe systems for the battery are included, and the system can measure Roll, Pitch, and Yaw using a 9-axis IMU, just like an aircraft. Apart from that, nothing has changed. The motorcycle retains its 5-inch TFT display, which includes Bluetooth connectivity, GPS/GLONASS. The motorcycle is equipped with safety features such as hazard lights, a side-stand engine cut-off, and fall and crash sensors with emergency contact alerts.

Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition drivetrain and chassis

Although the Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition has the same 10.3kWh battery pack and a claimed range of 307km as the top-spec Recon variant of the F77, there are differences in the motor's peak output figures. Notably, the F77 Space Edition produces 40bhp of power and 100Nm of torque, similar to that of the F77 launch edition. This motorcycle can do a 0-100kmph sprint in 7.8 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 152kmph.

In terms of the chassis, the Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition carries the same steel trellis frame as the ‘Original’ and ‘Recon’ variants. However, this limited edition, as per Ultraviolette, packs in certain custom-machined aerospace-grade aluminium components. The kerb weight of this edition, however, remains the same as the ‘Recon’ variant at 207kg. The seat height on this motorcycle is 800mm, and the ground clearance is 160mm.

Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition prices

The Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition is priced at Rs 5.60 lakh and Ultraviolette says that the bookings will open on August 22 at 6 PM on the official prices. Comparatively, the ‘Recon’ variant is priced at Rs 4.55 lakh (Rs 95,000 lesser) and the ‘Original’ variant costs Rs 3.80 lakh (Rs 1.80 lakh lesser).
