The name Techart is no stranger to those who love Porsches. The German company is one of the foremost tuners of Porsche cars in the world, with its GTStreet R being one of the most iconic modified cars in the pantheon of tuner culture today. With the launch of Techart’s first showroom in Bengaluru Porsche owners will get easier access to the customisation options that Techart offers in the country.
The Techart showroom will include performance modifications as well as aesthetic modifications. These include options such as carbon fibre parts, aerodynamic parts, engine powerkits, exhaust systems, wheels, suspensions and fully customisable interiors. The showroom will be equipped with the most advanced tools and equipment that Techart says will help “qualitative assessment” of owner’s vehicles. There is also investment made into training of personnel and manpower to ensure a skilled workforce. Techart’s modifications have the ability to seriously upgrade a car’s street cred, as in the case of their flagship, the GTStreet R. Based on a Porsche 911 Turbo S, the car produces 789bhp and 950Nm of torque in a usable, street-friendly package.
The new showroom will also build cars for the customers with parts brought over from Techart’s manufacturing center in Germany. Techart does not have any plans of manufacturing parts in India. However, the company has confirmed plans to enter more regions and metro cities of the country, especially North and West India. According to Techart, currently South India, especially Bengaluru, has the most healthy population of sportscars in the country, and will therefore be the focus for them. The company also plans to expand into electric car modifications, as it has already done globally with the Porsche Taycan.
