Altroz – that’s the name Tata Motors has given to the production version of the 45X concept, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. Tata says that the name is inspired from the magnificent bird ‘Albatross’. The Altroz will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month and premium hatch from Tata has its sights firmly set on the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
The Altroz will be based on the new ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture and will be the second offering from Tata’s stable to sport the Impact 2.0 design language after the Harrier. There are no more details regarding the Altroz but expect Tata Motors to give a constant dribble of information in regular intervals till the launch of the vehicle in mid-2019.
