Skoda has showcased the new Vision GT concept at the Shenzen-Hong Kong-Macao International Motor Show 2019. The concept gives us an idea of how the Kamiq GT, slated for launch in China towards the end of 2019, will look like. Although what’s relevant to India is Skoda’s new design direction for SUVs that could possibly be seen in the brand’s future cars for our country.
There are vertical slats in the radiator grille and the sharply contoured Matrix LED headlights consist of six crystal shaped elements. Together they form a flying arrow as a reference to Skoda’s traditional brand logo. The front end apart, the sharp shoulder lines and prominent wheel arches look quite sporty. Interestingly, a portion of the mirrors also resembles the vertical slats on the grille.
The design language is bold and we surely like the sporty appeal. Sadly there’s no word regarding the production version of the Vision GT coming to India. Also, for now, the Kodiaq is the only SUV that is being offered by the Czech marque in India. However, we drove the Kodiaq vRS in the Czech Republic last month. So, do read our review of the go-faster Kodiaq here.
