Motorcycle Expedition flagged off from Bengaluru by Corps of Military Police

A team of 5 from the ‘Shwet Ashw’ (The Elite Motorcycle Squad) branch of the Corps of Military Police will be riding across India on the freshly released TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi 4V Race Edition 2.0 motorcycles. The team of officials will traverse 3250+ Km, journeying through eight of India’s twenty-nine states, crossing cities like Pune, Manali, Mumbai, and Chandigarh. The expedition was flagged off from Bengaluru yesterday, and it will conclude on July 24 at the Kargil Memorial in Drass, leaving them two days of rest and relaxation before festivities commence. The ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ is celebrated each year on July 26. 

The team of riders include one officer, and four other ranked officials from the Corps of Military Police, all trained extensively and specializing in evasive maneuvers and navigating terrain.  The trip was flagged off yesterday by Major General Sanjeev Narain, AVSM General Officer Commanding Karnataka & Kerala Sub Area from Core of Military Police, Centre and School, Bengaluru. The tour is a commemoration of the bravery of Indian officers who fought and sacrificed their lives to secure the Kargil mountains against Pakistani interlopers in the Kargil War in 1999.
