The Royal Enfield Himalayan has always been one of the most loved ADVs in the market. It is a capable motorcycle but it missed out on tubeless wheels, something that most Himalayan owners wanted. Now, Royal Enfield has introduced wire-spoked tubeless wheels which are available as added options. It will cost ₹11,000 for new owners who opt for it during bike purchase and ₹12,424 for the reto-fitting kit for existing owners.
The Himalayan 450, if fitted with tubeless wheels, comes with a starting price of ₹2.96 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai). This is an ₹11,000 addition over the base price. For those looking for a little more flair, the top-tier Hanle Black variant sits at ₹3.09 lakh. These new wheels are part of the ‘Make it Yours’ (MiY) program, allowing new buyers to customise their bikes right from the start.
Pricing with wire-spoked tubeless wheels
– Kaza Brown: ₹2.96 lakh
– Himalayan Salt/ Poppy Blue: ₹3 lakh
– Kamet White: ₹3.04 lakh
– Hanle Black: ₹3.09 lakh
For existing Himalayan 450 owners, the tubeless wire-spoked wheels will be available as Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (GMA) starting October 3, 2024, priced at ₹12,424.
These tubeless wheels merge the utility factor of spoked wheels with tubeless technology. This ensures enhanced reliability and hassle-free maintenance while navigating challenging terrains. And with the kit costing just ₹12,424, it makes good sense for owners to switch to the tubeless wheels.
