Revolt Intellicorp has revealed its first product, the RV400 electric motorcycle. The bike, styled along the lines of a streetfighter, is eye-catchy and combined with the LED headlamps, the muscular shape and an overall design that is similar to a conventional IC engine motorcycle, will certainly be more readily accepted at least as far as looks is concerned. The bike boasts of remote connectivity through the Revolt App. Touted as India’s first AI-enabled motorcycle, the RV400 is geared towards urban commuters. Although no details about the battery capacity and motor power are available right now, Revolt has revealed a few numbers about the battery’s charge time and also a few features. Riders have four options to charge the RV400 by, 1. a wall charger that takes 4 hours to fully charge, 2. a detachable portable battery that can be charged at home or office, 3. mobile battery swap stations and 4. home-delivered fully charged batteries that can be ordered via an app. We also know that the RV400 gets an ARAI certified range of 156km.
As part of the AI features of the RV400, the Revolt App collects information about the rider’s riding style and suggests improvements for enhanced range among other things. The App also allows the user to remotely start the bike and functions as a gateway to the battery charging infrastructure. To mimic the experience of riding an actual IC, the RV400 can also be set up to sound like one and the sound can also be altered by way of the app. It also features real time diagnostics of the bike.
Available in two colours – Rebel Red and Cosmic Black, the RV400 is set to hit the roads across major cities(Delhi, NCR, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Chennai) in the next four months. The RV400 can be pre-booked starting June 25, 2019 for a mere Rs. 1000. The RV400 will be formally launched next month and is expected to compete against products like Tork motorcycles’ upcoming bike.
