The Velar sits above the Evoque in the Range Rover family and for 2021, Land Rover has given it a host of updates to keep it up to speed with the competition. The 2021 Velar is available with the 2-litre Ingenium series of powertrains, offered in both petrol and diesel options in the R-Dynamic S trim.
The 2-litre petrol engine puts out 246.7bhp and 365Nm of torque, whereas the 2-litre diesel engine produces 201.1bhp and 430Nm of torque.The Velar also gets an AWD system with Terrain Response 2 and All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) along with six driving modes to choose from.
The Range Rover Velar comes packed with a slew of features as standard such as the Pivi Pro infotainment system which comes with a pair of 10-inch screens of which one doubles up as the primary infotainment display that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the other is mainly used for the HVAC. Other standard features include air suspension, active road noise cancellation and cabin air ionisation with a PM2.5 filter, plus a 12-speaker Meridian Surround Sound system featuring digital signal processing, Cabin Correction, and a 360-degree camera system among other features.
The Range Rover Velar is available in only the R-Dynamic S trim now, with prices starting from Rs 79.87 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol variant and Rs 80.71 lakh for the diesel. Deliveries for the 2021 Velar have begun and customers can book the Velar by accessing Land Rover India’s website.
