All-new Hyundai Santro images leaked; to be priced from Rs 3.69 lakh

A couple of months ago, Hyundai revealed the sketch of the all-new Santro, codenamed AH2. Now, the images of the said car are leaked along with some details of the features, engine and driver aids. The car gets body coloured front bumpers and the front grille gets a chrome lining. The fog lamps are housed just below the headlamps. The side indicators are mounted on the wing mirrors.

The new Hyundai Santro will be launched in the country on October 24 and here are seven things that you should know about the hatchback:

• The new Hyundai Santro will be powered by a with a 1.1-litre petrol engine which makes 67bhp and 104Nm of peak twist. An AMT will also be offered, a first for Hyundai in this segment.
• Pricing of the new Santro will start at Rs 3.69 lakh for the base variant and will go up to Rs 5.40 lakh for the top-of-the-line variant.
• ARAI quoted fuel consumption figure of the hatchback is 20.3kmpl.
• The new Hyundai Santro will have a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. There will be steering mounted controls for the audio system.
• The car will be equipped with a rear camera.
• Rear A/C vents will be offered, a first in the segment.
• The car will be launched in green colour.

The new Hyundai Santro will compete with the Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Tata Tiago, which start at Rs 4.15 lakh and Rs 3.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively.
