The latest Aston Martin has come to our shores with a starting price tag of Rs 3.99 crore (ex-showroom). But with that price tag, you get a RWD car with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 generating 656bhp and 800Nm of torque. These numbers mean that this is the fastest Vantage ever with a 325kmph top speed. Along with that, the new Vantage has got an exterior and interior overhaul. Here’s more about the new Vantage.
The new Vantage follows the design language set by its elder sibling, the DB12. It has a muscular stance with large 21-inch wheels and a large grille. The rear end is again similar to that of a new-gen Aston.
The interior has tan all-new architecture along with a new-gen infotainment system which was first introduced in the DB12. The interior is made of haircell leather and gets Sports steering with Sports Plus seats as standard. The seats can be adjusted in eight ways. The audio system is a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins. The Vantage also gets multiple ADAS features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, 360-degree surround view camera and more.
It has an aluminium body structure and like before comes as a RWD only. Aston Martin has engineered the Vantage in such a way that it gets a 50:50 weight distribution. The new Vantage comes with Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers, an electronic rear differential and 21-inch rims wrapped in Michelin Pilot S 5 tyres. Carbon ceramic brakes come as standard.
Talking about the powertrain, it gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with 656bhp and 800Nm of torque. This is up from 503bhp and 685Nm of torque which the last Vantage had. The 0-100kmph time is 3.5 seconds and the top speed is 325kmph. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The new Vantage starts at Rs 3.99 crore (ex-showroom) and goes up against other two-seater supercars like the Porsche 911 range and the Ferrari 296 GTB.
