With strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines from local authorities, Mercedes-Benz India resumes operations at its Pune plant today onwards

Mercedes-Benz India has announced that production at the brand’s manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune will resume today onwards. The brand’s leadership in India is closely monitoring the situation and production will resume in a gradual manner.

Production at the plant has begun with only the essential staff, who are all adhering to all the required social distancing protocols and mandated safety and sanitization measures. Mercedes-Benz employees whose work deliverables do not require them to be present at work will continue working from home. Moreover, select Mercedes-Benz dealerships across the country too have restarted operations as per guidelines of local authorities. The dealerships are maintaining a sanitized environment while interacting with customers, visitors and suppliers.
