Mercedes-Benz is in full assault mode against its rivals, and there seems to be no sign of stopping. Barely days after the launch of the Maybach GLS and the updated S-Class, Mercedes-Benz has two more weapons ready up its sleeve. Say hello to the facelifted AMG E 53 4Matic+ and the AMG E 63S 4Matic+. While we did have the pre-facelift E 63S in India, this will be the first time the E 53 has made it here.

Mercedes-AMG E 53 4Matic+

The Mercedes-AMG E 53 4Matic+ is set to make its debut in the Indian market, and here is what we know about it so far. The E 53 is powered by a 3-litre in-line six-cylinder petrol engine which is paired to a 48V mild-hybrid system (better known as EQ Boost). This engine churns out 429bhp and 520Nm of torque, but it’s not just limited to that. The EQ boost provides an extra 21.4bhp and 250Nm of torque in short bursts. Thanks to these figures, the E 53 can demolish a 0-100kmph run in 4.5 seconds. The E 53 also receives a 9-speed AMG Speedshift TCT transmission and a 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system. The E 53 wears 19-inch alloy wheels which are upgradable to 20-inchers.

The E 53 is also equipped with AMG Dynamic Select, which enables you to choose from five different driving modes and alter various characteristics of the car. In addition to these, the E 53 also gets a Burmester 3D surround sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, optional 360-degree camera, and an optional AMG Night Package among other kit.

Mercedes-AMG E 63S 4Matic+

The Mercedes-AMG E 63 S gets a 4-litre bi-turbo V8 engine which produces 603bhp and 850Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100kmph time of 3.4 seconds. The E63S also gets a 9-speed AMG Speedshift MCT transmission. Like the E 53, the E 63 S comes with the 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system, and it also reaches an electronically restricted top-speed of 250kmph.

The Variable Torque Distribution system is the talking point of the E63S, which, along with its Drift mode will enable the car to drift with ease. In terms of equipment, the E 63 S gets the AMG Dynamic Select, a rear differential-lock, AMG Sports Suspension, Multibeam LED headlights, and a whole lot more.
