Maruti Suzuki India today launched the limited edition variant for the Swift, with a bunch of cosmetic updates. This variant will be offered at Rs 24,990 more over the standard prices. The Maruti Suzuki Swift comes with a price tag of Rs 5.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant and goes up to Rs 8.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-end variant.
On the outside, the Swift limited edition variant gets a glossy black body kit, a blacked-out grille, side body mouldings, door visors and an aerodynamic spoiler. The tail lamps and fog lamps also get some black garnishing. Overall, the limited-edition scheme gives the Swift some distinctive visual highlights that may appeal to young buyers looking for a sporty-looking premium hatchback that definitely makes its road presence felt.
Like the outside, the interior also gets some black treatment. Complimenting the exteriors the interior now is on offer with sporty seat covers in black, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and sporty dials. The features list remains the same as on the standard variants where the limited edition variant also gets a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system, automatic climate control, start-stop button, steering-mounted controls and safety features like ABS with EBD and dual airbags on the front.
The limited-edition variant of the Swift will be on offer with the same engine i.e a 1.2-litre petrol engine that churns out an 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. The engine comes paired to either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic gearbox depending on the choice of the variant which has an identical fuel-efficiency of 21.21kmpl for both the manual and the automatic.

As said, the limited-edition variant of the Swift demands Rs 24,990 more over the standard prices makes the base variant now come with a tag of Rs 5.43 lakh and the top-spec variant at Rs 8.26 lakh. The Swift has been a successful product of Maruti Suzuki India’s portfolio from the last 14 years with over twenty-three lakh units sold till date which goes against the likes of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Ford Figo.
