Mahindra has launched seven tractors based on the OJA platform. Mahindra has revealed prices for two tractors. The OJA 2127 is priced at Rs 5.65 lakh, and the OJA 3140 is priced at Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). All the tractors offer 4WD as standard. Mahindra has launched the tractors on three various platforms – Sub Compact, Compact and Small Utility. Mahindra has also revealed that the tractors will be manufactured in India and will then be exported to six different continents. After India, the OJA range will subsequently be launched in North America, the ASEAN region, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, Europe and the SAARC region.
From the first look itself, there’s a sharp change in terms of the design language. The front has projector headlamps which is rare for tractors in India. Mahindra says that they have worked on increasing the driver's 360-degree visibility and also the usability of various functions. Additionally, controls are placed conveniently for straightforward operation. Smart utility storage holds tools like a toolkit, chains, hooks, and spanners, making daily farming tasks more organised and efficient.
Mahindra claims a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio, ensuring agility and suitability for various applications. Moreover, all tractors in the range come standard with 4WD. Features like tilt and telescopic steering, ergonomic controls, and side shift controls have also been added. Mahindra claims that the advanced features contribute to low operational costs, minimising expenses over each crop cycle.
PROJA (Productivity Pack): This pack aims to enhance productivity, reduce manual interventions, and minimise costs. Features include Creeper mode which enables speed as low as 0.3kmph, F/R Shuttle which offers multiple reverse speed options, tilt & telescopic steering and more.
MYOJA (Telematics Pack): This pack empowers farmers with real-time data via a mobile app, including GPS live location, service alerts, critical alerts, and fuel monitoring.
ROBOJA (Automation Pack): This pack focuses on advanced automation and smart applications. Auto PTO engages the power take-off with a button press, while Auto Implement Lift automates the lifting and lowering of implements.
The tractors come with four engine options ranging from 19.7bhp to 39.4bhp with torque ranging from 76Nm to 133Nm. There are four transmission options as well. The tractors weigh between 700-2500kg and offer a hydraulic lift capacity of up to 950kg.
