Madhya Pradesh Tourism launched a campaign today called ‘Intezaar Khatam Hua’. The goal behind this campaign is to boost confidence and trust among tourists travelling to the state. The idea is to attract travellers to their major monsoon tourist attractions like Amarkantak, Panchmarhi, Mandu, Orchha, Tamia, Bhedaghat and several national parks situated in Madhya Pradesh. Due to Covid-19, tourism has suffered a major blow not just in India, but all over the world. However, this is an initiative that promotes travelling in a caravan with social distancing norms in place.

Under this campaign, a well-planned five to six-day trip in a caravan is designed where the trip starts from two places – Bhopal and Indore. The road trip starting from Bhopal covers destinations like Amargarh falls, Bhimbetka, Tawa, Madai, Pachmarhi, Tamia, Patalkot and Pench whereas the one starting from Indore covers destinations like Patalpani, Choral Dam, Jam Gate, Vanchu Point, Janapav, Mandu, Maheshwar, Omkareshwar and Sailani. Since the venture is named ‘Road trip in a caravan’, it is needless to say that the travel influencers on this journey will be ferried to these destinations in caravans.

To promote Madhya Pradesh Tourism, these road trips will be documented as travelogues by said travel influencers. As a part of the campaign, they will be updating their respective pages and blogs, while a compilation will be released by Madhya Pradesh tourism on their official social media handles. Also, throughout the road trip, the influencers will be required to carry placards with ‘Intezaar khatam hua’ (the wait is over) written on them and click pictures holding them as well to promote MP tourism on social media.

The travel influencers will also create a five-minute video that will be titled ‘ My top 5 moments from the Heart of Incredible India’ that will have a compilation of their photographs and videos with a narration by the influencer about it.

Since the tourism sector is worst hit due to Covid-19, Madhya Pradesh tourism with this initiative believes that this will not only boost morale but will also bring back the confidence of travellers. The tourism board is also offering tour packages to the tourists that are designed ensuring safe travel, stay, and excursions despite the prevailing situation. Also, for added convenience, the board has come up with weekend and package trips from adjoining cities with all safety measures that are required at the destination.

A campaign like this to reignite the will to travel amongst both domestic as well as international tourists is a step in the right direction. Our country’s cases may be on the rise, but businesses are resuming and the tourism industry needs to pick up too. By promoting the safety measures in place, the tourism board of Madhya Pradesh seems to be taking a step in the right direction.
