Lexus LC 500h limited-edition revealed

In late 2019, Ed Sirish Chandran drove the stunning Lexus LC 500h in Japan, and we all were stunned by its striking, in-your-face design. It was launched back then at an eye-watering price tag of Rs 1.9 crore, and now Lexus has launched a limited-edition LC 500h in India. The limited-edition LC 500h is inspired by the partnership between air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya and Lexus’ engineers, where in the latter worked to build Muroya’s aircraft that led him to win the 2017 RedBull Air Race World Championships.

Lexus LC 500h hybrid powertrain

The limited-edition LC 500h retains the standard car’s hybrid powertrain, which is a 3.5-litre V6 engine that works in conjunction with a permanent magnet motor. The engine alone produces 295bhp and 350Nm while the electric motor, on its own, produces 177bhp and 300Nm. Together, the hybrid system produces 354bhp.

Aviation inspired design

The limited-edition of the LC 500h gets updates on the styling front as well. On the outside, it gets a blacked out grille, 21-inch forged wheels, a specially designed aeroplane style carbon fiber rear wing and carbon fiber scuff plates inscribed with ‘LC 500h Limited Edition’ and ‘Lexus’ lettering. On the inside, the limited-edition variant gets black Alcantara seats with tan accents and black Alcantara wrapped around the steering wheel, gear knob and door trims.

Lexus LC 500h price

The LC 500h limited-edition has been launched at Rs 2.15 crore, ex-showroom, Delhi. You can easily splurge this much money on far more engaging performance cars from the Mercedes-AMG, BMW M and Porsche stables, but none of them will turn heads like the LC 500h.
