2018 Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SUVs

The MY 2018 Land Rover SUVs, the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover luxury SUVs were launched in the country today. The behemoths are powered by both petrol and diesel engines. Petrol trim is offered with two engine options, the supercharged V6 develops 335bhp while the supercharged V8 develops 518bhp of maximum power. The diesel trim is also offered with two engine options, the supercharged V6 engine develops 255bhp while the supercharged V8 engine offers 335bhp of maximum power. The SUVs get new front grille, a redesigned ‘clamshell’ bonnet made out of a single sheet of aluminium.

Both the SUVs are offered with an electronic air suspension set-up for a cushioned ride experience. The SUVs get adjustable ride height which can be set 50mm lower to the standard ride height and can also be raised 70mm over the standard ride height, which could be further extended by 80mm for off-road terrains. The wheels get a cross-link  mechanical geometry to keep all the four wheels on ground while off-roading. The cars also get terrain response feature with seven adjustments while also having a manual terrain response selector. The terrain response automatically detects terrain and the vehicle adapts accordingly.

The SUVs get cool features like gesture operated sun roof blinds that can be opened and closed by waving your hand past the sensor. The touch pro duo touch screen system too is available in both SUVs, and the centre console gets minimal buttons. Both SUVs get the 12.3-inch instrument cluster and an updated Head-up display and optional rear seat entertainment system. The steering wheel also gets touch sensitive controls. You also get a Meridian sound system for aural delight.

The Range Rover is available in an extended wheelbase version (3.12m) as well, just in case if you need some more legroom (186mm to be precise).
