Adding to the three Lamborghini Huracan models that you can choose from - Huracan Evo RWD, AWD and Spyder - the Italian marque introduced the world to the new Huracan Evo RWD Spyder via the world's first augmented reality enabled launched. As you would have guessed, the Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder adds to the lineup with a convertible roof and power solely at the rear wheels. Safe to say, it will be just as potent as the other Huracan Evos.
It gets a 5.2-litre V10 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which just like its Coupe sibling sends power to the rear wheels. Producing a solid 610 horses and 560Nm of torque, the Spyder sprints to the ton in just 3.5 seconds and on to a top whack of 324kmph - 0.2 seconds and 1kmph off the Coupe's numbers
With the roof down however, that tiny drop in performance wouldn't be something you would lose any sleep over. The Evo RWD Spyder has an electrically operated soft top that folds flat in just 17 seconds at speeds of up to 50kmph. And the soft top comes in a few different hues for owners to find the right combination with the Huracan Evo's exhaustive exterior paint options. 19-inch wheels come wrapped in a set of Pirelli P Zeros as standard but you can option larger 20-inch wheels and carbon ceramic brakes.
The RWD Spyder uses lightweight materials like aluminum and carbon fiber in the chassis and roof construction to try and make it lighter and at 1509kg it is just 88kg heavier than its Coupe sibling. Little has changed on the inside and the Evo RWD Spyder sports the same layout and materials as its sibling. It gets the 8.4-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto support and the fully digital instrument cluster.
Details are scarce about when the Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder will make its way to India. Its hardtop sibling was launched early this year at a sticker price of Rs. 3.22 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) and we expect the RWD Spyder to retail at a small premium.
