Horacio Pagani, designer and founder of the Pagani brand, has been quite active during this current time period encouraging his brand's customers and fans to stay at home with the hashtag #StayInYourGarage. The Pagani brand has also released a couple of videos with the latest one being a tour of Horacio Pagani’s personal garage, which includes some stunning cars, and even a surprise mint condition Jaguar E-type. He also showcases more than 120 model cars he has collected, with the Porsche 917 being his favourite.
It is not often you get to see a designer and the founder of a Hypercar manufacture's private collection of cars, and it surely gives you some insight into what it actually is like to curate such a collection.
Horacio has a design/engineering career that most designer/engineers would kill for, starting off at Lamborghini where he rose to become the chief engineer and introduced carbonfibre to the company and finally Lamborghini. Pagani then went on to start his own carbon fibre department that used to supply specific parts for Formula 1 teams and then started Pagani Automobili. And the rest, as they say, is history .
You can see the passion that Horacio has for automobile culture and what was his inspiration behind getting into the design field, and starting the Pagani brand. Horacio is often referred to as the Leonardo Da Vinci of the automotive world, with his keen eye for all the details and precision carbon fibre weaves that have become the hallmarks of Pagani products. Horacio ends the video by revving the Huayra and giving us all a taste of what the glorious 6-litre V12 sounds like!
