A recent teaser image revealed by Honda of the BS6 Jazz makes it evident that the hatchback will get minor tweaks on the exterior. As per the teaser image, the BS6 Jazz looks like it gets LED projector headlamps with integrated DRLs. It might also get a set of LED rear lamps with ORVMs integrated with LED turn indicators. With the updates on the exterior, it is expected to get a host of features on the interiors as well like the multi-function steering wheel, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto and an automatic climate control system.

Under the hood, it is expected that the Jazz will get similar powertrain options as the Amaze. So the BS6 Jazz will come with 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol. It is not certain at this point if the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel option will be retained. The petrol motor in the outgoing Jazz churns out 90bhp of power and 110Nm of torque while the diesel engine produces 100bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. Gearbox options on offer with the BS6 Jazz will be a 5-speed manual and CVT.

The Jazz was expected to be launched at the end of this month but due to the ongoing lockdown and the coronavirus pandemic, it has been pushed back. With the stringent BS6 norms that came in from April 1, 2020, Honda has started rolling out its BS6 versions to keep its portfolio updated and the Jazz is the fourth car in the Honda portfolio to get a BS6 update and is expected to go against the likes of Toyota Glanza, Hyundai i20 Elite, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz. Honda is also working on aBS6 update for the WR-V which is also expected to launch soon.
