The Ford EcoSport now comes with a sunroof

Ford has launched the EcoSport in two new variants and both these get an electric sunroof. The EcoSport S is priced at Rs 11.37 lakh and Rs 11.89 lakh for the petrol and diesel powertrains, while the EcoSport Signature retails at Rs 10.40 lakh and Rs 10.99 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, pan-India. Mechanically both variants remain the same and they get only cosmetic updates.

EcoSport S  – Rs 11.37 lakh (petrol) and Rs 11.89 lakh (diesel)

This sits at the top of the EcoSport variant line-up and cosmetic changes include smoked HID headlights, blacked out grille, all- black roof and roof rails along with smoked 17-inch alloys. On the inside, the car gets orange accents on the dashboard, orange stitching on the seats and along the centre console and door panels. It also comes with a 4.2-inch instrument cluster and TPMS. The diesel variant gets an 8-inch touch screen along with the Sync 3 connectivity. The car also comes with 6 airbags.

EcoSport Signature Edition  –  Rs 10.40 lakh (petrol) and Rs 10.99 lakh (diesel)

The Signature Edition is an option to the Titanium variant and gets a few cosmetic changes that include chrome surround for the front grille, new graphics and black fog lamp bezels. Interiors get blue accent surrounds around the centre console, on the dashboard, the door panels and seats. The EcoSport S gets the famed 1-litre EcoBoost petrol engine under its hood that makes 123.3bhp and 170Nm of torque and the engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The diesel variant remains the same with 1.5-litre inline 4-cylinder TDCi unit that makes 98.6bhp and 205Nm of peak twist. The Signature Edition gets Ford’s new 1.5-litre inline three-cylinder TiVCT petrol engine. It produces 121.3bhp and 150Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
