Ford has launched the Aspire in two new Ambiente and Trend Plus both of which get CNG. Prices for the new CNG variants start from Rs 6.27 lakh. The CNG kits will be available in the 1.2-litre petrol variants. The Ambiente variant costing Rs 6.27 lakh and the Trend Plus variant will set you back by Rs 7.12 lakh. Back in 2017, Hyundai too introduced a CNG variant of the Xcent.
Ford offers a standard two-year or 1,00,000 km warranty and the kit needs servicing every two years or 20,000 km. The car gets a ‘suspension type cylinder fitment’ to free up some boot space. To accommodate the weight of the CNG cylinder, Ford has added a stabilizer bar at the front. The Ford Aspire is the only compact sedan offering driver and passenger airbags as standard.
The car continues to get features like the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, rear-view camera, remote central locking and automatic air-conditioner.
Speaking on the launch of the CNG variants, Vinay Raina, executive director – marketing, sales and service, Ford India commented, “The New Aspire CNG is yet another fuel-efficient, and eco-friendly alternative for our value-conscious customers. With maintenance costs as low as just 46 paise per km, the new Aspire CNG will offer great peace of mind to customers, without compromising on performance, safety or space.”
