Skoda’s upcoming compact SUV is due for launch on May 18 in Stockholm and the Czech carmaker has teased us with an image today.

The Karoq follows Skoda’s design language and is clearly inspired by its larger sibling, the Kodiaq. Skoda has revealed only the front of the SUV as of yet which gets a large chrome grille with vertical slats and a trapezoidal cross section, which recently made its way on to the Octavia facelift as well. The grille is flanked by a large Skoda logo and is incorporated by full-LED headlights. The other image focuses on the traditional C-shaped tail lights. The taillights are full-LED units as well.

Going by the dimensions, the Karoq is just over 4,382mm long and is not too wide at 1,841mm. Like all Skoda cars, the space on the inside is decent, as the carmaker claims. The boot capacity is 521 litres which can be extended 1,630 litres with the seats folded down. There is also an option of VarioFlex rear seats which allows individual seats to be adjusted or removed completely.

The Koraq is expected to be launched in the Europe by the end of 2017 and will hopefully make it to our shores in 2018.
