This year Formula 1 celebrates its 70th anniversary , so the folks at Codemasters have developed the official Formula 1 2020 FIA world championship game, and just showcased the trailer on social media and set a release date for July 10. F1 2020 will be available on all gaming platforms, including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC and the newly announced Google Stadia platform.
New additions to this season of the game are the new team management mode where players can create their own team and manage it alongside the other 10 teams currently on the grid. This will be part of the career mode. Though the current F1 season has been postponed you can have a go at the new circuits for 2020 season that is going to debut this year like the Hanoi track in Vietnam, Zandvoort in the Netherlands and you can set some lap records before even the drivers have set foot on the track.
Also to help Formula 1 celebrate 70 years, a set of heritage cars have been introduced and a mode where you champion Hamilton‘s quest to equal Michael Schumacher‘s seven world championship record. Additionally to this challenge, Schumacher’s cars have been added as a bonus pack, we personally love the 7-Up livery Benetton. Another welcome addition is the two players split-screen that is making a comeback after a long absence, as it was last seen on F1 2014.
We can’t wait to get our hands on this driving simulator. Till that time we will have to keep our eyes glued to all the F1 drivers currently streaming the races via the Virtual Grand Prix and get some pro-gaming tips from them.
