3DExperience on wheels

Dassault Systemes today flagged off its 3DExperience on wheels 2018, which is a mobile lounge that will cover 23 cities across 16 states in the country to highlight the advantages of their cloud platform. They aim to connect over 250 companies in a period of six months. They had already started this campaign in 2017 where they focused on industries in South India. The use of virtual reality to demonstrate the effectiveness of the platform is also a part of their 3DExperience.

Empowering start-ups, small and medium scale enterprises

With this initiative, they aim to connect SMEs, MSMEs and start-ups in tier-II cities to industrial hubs to provide end-to-end engineering solutions, manufacturing and business capabilities to create an efficient workplace and increase cost effectiveness. Dassault Systemes is also focusing on the emerging electric vehicle manufactures in the country, apart from the auto components manufacturing units and mining industries. During the media interaction, they also demonstrated the effectiveness of their platform for a better factory shop floor set-up, designing of prototypes and enhancing the supplier-client interactions through sharing of data via cloud platforms. With the dire need of battery manufacturers for e-vehicles in the country, Dassault Systemes is targeting homegrown start-ups that make battery packs for electric vehicles.

At the flag-off, Samson Khaou, managing director, Dassault Systèmes India said, “The start-up and SME sector is a goldmine for growth in India. We are committed to collaborating with start-ups and SMEs at every step to boost innovation and sustainable product development. Cloud is a great enabler in this process and with the 3DExperience platform we will continue to create opportunities for entrepreneurs to build better products and catalyse innovation in manufacturing. We plan to work closely with the Governments’ mission of sustainable innovation in electric vehicles. We have a strong presence in Pune and with our continued focus on the automotive industry we will showcase demonstrations on manufacturing and shop floor processes like product engineering, electronic and electrical engineering, mold and tooling engineering, process planning, fabrication and machining etc.”
