What's new on the new Tata Tiago, Tiago.ev and Tigor?

Tata Motors has opened the bookings for the new 2025 updated Tata Tiago, Tata Tiago.ev and Tata Tigor. All these models will feature an updated front fascia and introduction to new features like a 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment screen, 360 degree camera and ESP along with new colour options to choose from. The variant list has also been shuffled along with introduction of new variants and a price hike of up to ₹30,000. Engine and powertrain options will remain the same. 2025 Tata Tiago range to start from ₹4.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and its electric counterpart, the Tata Tiago.ev will be starting from ₹7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata’s offering in the compact sedan segment, the Tata Tigor will start from ₹5.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Motors has constantly kept on updating the Tiago and Tigor to keep them fresh in the market and stay relevant in the ever increasing competition. Both these cars will have an identical front look with new LED headlights and DRLs along with an updated front bumper. Both the Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor run on the same sized wheels and offer the same 15-inch alloys on their top of the line variant. The updated Tata Tiago.ev will feature a redesigned front nose and larger air vent on the bumper, apart from this it has a similar design as compared to its ICE counterpart except for the fact that Tiago.ev does not get alloy wheels but will feature a new 14-inch hyper style wheel setup.

Tigor will offer petrol and CNG options

All three of these cars will have a similar looking dual tone interior dash layout. What will set them apart is the different colour themes and slight differences in the features offered. The top of the line variants of these cars will offer a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, push button start, automatic AC, HD rear parking camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a digital instrument cluster. The Tigor will however come equipped with a 360 degree parking camera on its top of the line variant.

Tata Tiago, Tata Tiago.ev and Tata Tigor Engine and Powertrain options

The Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor will have the same engine options. A 1.2-liter 3-cyl petrol engine producing 84bhp and 113Nm along with an CNG engine option which is a 1.2-liter 3-cyl bi-fuel engine producing 72bhp and 95Nm when running on CNG. Options of both, an MT and AMT will be available with these models. The Tata Tiago.ev however will get two battery packs of 19.2kWh and 24kWh (medium range and long range) along with an optional variant that enables fast charging.

Bookings for these models are now open and they will be displayed at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The Tata Tigor will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze and the Hyundai Aura with a very competitive pricing. Tata Tiago however on the other hand will rival the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Renault Kwid, and the hatchback group from Maruti Suzuki comprising Alto K10, WagonR, Ignis, S-Presso and Celerio, with all of these having very similar pricing. The Tata Tiago.ev will silently compete with the MG Comet but the size and price difference does give the Tiago.ev an upper hand.
