Skoda launches the Slavia Monte Carlo at ₹15.8 lakh, and Sportline editions for the Slavia and Kushaq at ₹14 lakh and ₹14.7 lakh

Skoda has expanded its lineup with the launch of the Slavia Monte Carlo and Sportline editions for both the Slavia and Kushaq models. The Slavia is the third Skoda car to get the Monte Carlo treatment, after the Rapid and the Kushaq. It gets blacked-out exterior elements and a sportier red and black cabin. The Sportline gets similar blacked-out exterior elements, but a different cabin with fabric upholstery.

The Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo gets blacked-out exterior elements – grille,ORVMs, fog lamp garnish, dark-chrome door handles, window garnish, roof, and lettering. Additionally, it also gets a blacked-out lip spoiler, rear diffuser, side skirts, and Monte Carlo badging. Unlike the Kushaq Monte Carlo, which gets RS design wheels and 17-inchers with red brake calipers, the Slavia Monte Carlo features 16-inch blacked-out wheels. The Slavia Monte Carlo can be optioned with both the engine options – 1.5-litre TSI paired with a 7-speed DSG, or the 1-litre TSI mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic.

Inside, the Monte Carlo edition continues the theme with a red and black cabin. There’s red and black ventilated electronic front seats, aluminium pedals, red dashboard inserts, and black door handles and trim. The instrument cluster also gets a red theme now.

Skoda Slavia and Kushaq Sportline

The Sportline editions of the Slavia and Kushaq, get similar blacked-out elements – grille, roof, lettering and ORVMs. The Slavia additionally gets a rear diffuser, lip spoiler and side skirts. The Kushaq Sportline rides on 17-inch black wheels, while the Slavia Sportline rides on 16-inch black wheels. The Sportline editions are available with multiple colour options.

Inside, the Sportline models feature aluminium pedals, but different design fabric upholstery and an analog cluster, instead of the digital.

Price and rivals

The Slavia Monte Carlo is priced at ₹15.8 lakh and the Slavia Sportline is priced at ₹14.05 lakh. It rivals the Volkswagen Virtus with prices starting from ₹11.55 lakh and the Hyundai Verna with prices starting from ₹11 lakh. 

The Kushaq Sportline is priced at ₹14.70 lakh and rivals the Volkswagen Taigun with prices starting from ₹11.7 lakh, the Hyundai Creta with prices starting from ₹11 lakh and the Kia Seltos with prices starting from ₹10.9 lakh.
