Alongside the launch of the Curvv EV, Tata Motors has also released the key important details of the upcoming Curvv, its mid-size coupe SUV which is slated to officially launch on September 2

Tata Curvv: Exteriors

The Tata Curvv’s coupe-SUV styling will surely be a novelty among its competitors. Its front fascia design resembles that of a Harrier with a large grille with metal-like embellishments. There is a full width LED DRL above the front grille integrating the LED indicators. It distinguishes itself from the Curvv EV, featuring air vents in the front nose for better cooling of the engine. On to the side, it gets flush door handles, squared-off wheel arches and chunky-looking 18-inch alloy wheels. Just like the front, it also features a full width LED tail lamp. It gets a powered which can also be opened with gesture control, a first in the segment. The Curvv will be available in four personas with six different variants: Smart, Pure+, Creative, Creative+ S, Accomplished S and Accomplished+ A.

Tata Curvv: Interiors

The dashboard layout of the Curvv is almost similar to that we have seen in Nexon. It gets a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel is similar to that we have seen in Safari and Harrier. In terms of features, the Tata Curvv comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera with front parking sensors, an electronic parking brake and six airbags as standard. It also comes with a six-way adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, rear seat recline, sound system by JBL and ambient lighting.

Tata Curvv: Powertrain

The Tata Curvv will be offered in three engine options – two petrol and one diesel mill. The car will feature the brand’s new 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine that makes 123bhp of peak power and 225Nm of torque. It will be also offered in a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 117bhp and 170Nm. For all the diesel enthusiasts, Tata will offer a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 116bhp and 260 Nm. All the engine comes mated with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed DCT automatic which also gets machine learning now. This system helps it to learn the driving habits of the user and adapts to it for smoother shifts.

Tata Curvv: Launch date and rivals

The Tata Curvv will officially make its debut on September 2, 2024. The coupe SUV will rival the recently showcased Citroen Basalt. It will also go against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Toyota Hyryder
