Porsche Taycan facelift prices out, starts at ₹1.89 crores for the Taycan 4S

The facelifted Porsche Taycan has finally launched in the Indian market.Currently, the facelifted Taycan is being offered only in two variants — 4S and Turbo. The Taycan 4S is priced at Rs 1.89 crores(ex-showroom), whereas the Taycan Turbo retails at Rs 2.53 crores (ex-showroom). The facelift Taycan gets subtle exterior changes, interior updates, and better performance and range. 

In terms of styling ,the Porsche Taycan doesn't get any substantial changes. It gets an updated front bumper along with resigned air vents. New LED headlamps feature an HD-Matrix design that claims to give better illumination; however, the overall headlamp design resembles the outgoing models with the four-point DRLs. The rear also gets a revised bumper and a new tail lamp setup, along with Porsche's logo, which has an illumination function placed beneath a transparent panel. 

The dashboard layout is similar to the outgoing model on the inside. The major changes to the interior include a better UI for all the displays. Regarding the displays, Taycan has a 10.9-inch infotainment system, a 16.8-inch instrument unit, and an optional passenger display. Both the infotainment unit and the optional passenger display support video streaming. It also now gets two new optional, leather-free interior upholstery packages. Regarding features, Taycan gets 14-way adjustable front seats with heating, four-zone climate control, ambient lighting, a 14-speaker Bose sound system, HUD, an air purifier, wireless charging, ADAS and more. 

Porsche Taycan now houses a bigger battery with revised cell chemistry slated to increase the WLTP range by 35 per cent. The Taycan 4S now gets an 89kWh battery with a claimed WLTP range of up to 557km. There is also an option 105kWh Performance Battery Plus Pack that has better performance and an even better WLTP range. With an 89kWh battery, the Taycan 4S produces 455 bhp of peak power and 695Nm of torque, whereas, with the 105kWh option, power is bumped up to 510bhp. Porsche Taycan Turbo gets a 105kWh Performance Battery Plus Pack that delivers a peak power output of 697 bhp and a torque of 890Nm.

Porsche has yet to announce the pricing for its entire lineup, including the base RWD Taycan, Turbo S, and Turbo GT variants. In India, the Porsche Taycan competes with the Mercedes-Benz EQS AMG 53 and Audi e-tron GT.
