MG has launched the Windsor EV in India at ₹9.99 lakh plus ₹3.5 per km battery rental. With a 38kWh battery and a claimed range of 331km, the Windsor EV aims to capture the electric SUV market with its premium features and practical range. It sits above the MG Comet and under the MG ZS EV in MG’s EV lineup for India.
The Windsor EV gets full-width LED tail lamps and DRLs. It rides on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It gets a 2700mm wheelbase and a 604-litre boot carrying capacity. The second-row aero lounge seats get a 135-degree multi-step recline function. The Windsor EV is based on a flexible skateboard platform and doesn’t get a frunk.
The MG Windsor EV’s cabin is both stylish and high-tech, featuring black upholstery with gold accents. It houses a massive 15.6-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. Sound duties are done by a 9-speaker Infinity audio system.
