Mercedes-Benz has revealed the Mercedes-Benz Vision V concept globally, and the van is underpinned by the modular, flexible and scalable Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA). A production version of this luxury MPV is set to be globally showcased in 2026. Combining cutting-edge technology with premium design, this concept is offered with a comprehensive suite of features which makes it clear that Mercedes-Benz is aiming for a top-tier customer experience. From immersive digital systems to high-end materials, the Vision V concept is packed with features designed to offer both convenience and exclusivity.
Mercedes-Benz Vision V exterior
The Vision V concept’s exterior showcases a sleek and aerodynamic design. The key to its futuristic look are the illuminated glass louvres on the front grille, which not only enhance the vehicle's visual appeal but also serve as functional lighting elements. The concept is equipped with 24-inch wheels, with more louvers integrated into the wheels, which contribute to the vehicle’s elegant yet dynamic stance. The use of chrome and illuminated elements throughout the design of the Vision V helps create an imposing yet sophisticated presence. Additionally, the streamlined profile improves aerodynamics, ensuring a smooth and efficient ride. In terms of other design elements, the Vision V gets a sliding door that opens automatically and a uniquely-designed LED tail lamp which frames the rear window and gets over 450 three-dimensional illuminated louvres which serve as taillights and brake lights.

The Vision V's front cabin brings together innovative equipment for both the driver and passengers. The most prominent feature is the Superscreen—an enormous digital interface that spans the entire dashboard, offering real-time graphics, navigation, and all essential driving data. The user interface is designed to adapt to individual preferences, providing an intuitive and personalized experience. This is complemented by advanced assistance systems, including augmented reality navigation, which overlays real-time information directly onto the vehicle's surroundings. The cockpit also includes a dynamic virtual instrument cluster and a 3D surround navigation system that makes using the vehicle's technology both efficient and enjoyable.
However, it’s the rear cabin of the Vision V that truly steals the show. The rear of the Vision V offers an unparalleled level of comfort and technology. The centerpiece of the "Private Lounge" is a retractable 65-inch cinema screen, which rises from the floor at the touch of a button. This screen, in combination with a Dolby Atmos surround-sound system powered by 42 speakers, creates an immersive digital experience. Seven projectors placed in the headliner and floor expand the field of vision, while the side windows become additional screens, creating a digital 360-degree environment. The concept is also equipped with seven modes – namely Gaming, Work, Karaoke, Relax, Discovery, Shopping and Entertainment – which have the screens, the music system and the seats working in tandem to give the passengers an immersive experience.
Passengers can enjoy music, movies, games, and more—all with unmatched clarity and depth. Other notable features include a switchable glass wall that separates the lounge from the driver’s area, which can be adjusted for privacy. The materials used in the lounge are equally luxurious, with Nappa leather, silk, and open-pore burr wood, creating a refined atmosphere.
The Vision V doesn’t stop with its cinematic experience. The rear seating area includes innovative first-class seats, designed for maximum comfort with adjustable reclining features, allowing passengers to fully relax. These seats are designed with tubular cushions that are held together by polished aluminium clasps. For additional comfort, the ambient lighting system adapts to the music being played, creating a mood-setting atmosphere. There’s also a touchpad integrated into the center console, allowing for easy control of the vehicle's infotainment system. Other features include a fold-out table that reveals a high-quality chessboard and a customisable fragrance system, adding an extra layer of luxury to the experience.
