The first launch from Auto Expo 2025 is the highly anticipated Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. First unveiled at the Milan Auto Show in 2024, it is Suzuki’s first mass-market battery electric vehicle. The e Vitara offers two battery options—49kWh and 61kWh—and up to 172bhp of peak power output. It is underpinned by a skateboard platform called Heartect-e and here’s everything you need to know about it.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara styling

Essentially a production version of the eVX concept, which was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo, the e Vitara crossover deploys a contemporary design, without being too wild. It gets a muscular stance, a bold front-end and short overhangs.

Up front, it gets a pair of wraparound LED headlights with LED DRLs resembling a tuning fork, an aggressive bumper which also houses LED fog lights and a fairly upright bonnet with sharp lines. Oh and don't forget the ADAS sensor which has been neatly integrated into the front Suzuki logo. In profile, the crossover gets plastic cladding on the doors and wheel arches, wide haunches both at the front and back and floating C-pillar which looks really neat. The e Vitara's charging port is located on the front right fender. It rides on 18-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels. At the back, the e Viatara gets a connected LED tail light, a shark fin antenna and just like the front, a black bumper.

The car will be available in 10 colours including 4 dual-tone options.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara interior and features

If the e Vitara's exterior styling looks modern, you will be even more surprised by what's on the inside! This is arguably the most premium looking Maruti interior, period. There's a two-spoke steering wheel, a dual-tone dashboard with soft-touch materials and vertical rectangular aircon-con vents. The dash also houses a single unit digital cockpit with a10.1-inch configurable cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment. It has a floating centre console, a rotary drive selector and an electronic parking brake. Other features include a 360-degree camera system, 10-way power driver's seat, front seat coolers, 7-airbags including a driver's knee airbag, a Harman Kardon sound system, three drive modes–eco, normal, sport–and Level 2 ADAS with autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and high beam assist.
