Lotus Cars, renowned for their performance-driven and innovative designs, have opened their first exclusive showroom in India at the World Trade Centre, New Delhi. Previously, Lotus cars were available through shared showrooms or service outlets in Mumbai. At the launch, Lotus Cars India unveiled two models now available for purchase: the Emira and the Emeya Hyper-GT. Here’s a closer look at these cars.

The Emira is a landmark model for Lotus, being the last in their lineup to feature a petrol engine

Lotus Emira

The Emira is a landmark model for Lotus, being the last in their lineup to feature a petrol engine. Once this generation concludes, Lotus will transition entirely to EVs. The updated 2025 Emira range, now available in India, includes the Emira Turbo, Emira Turbo SE, and Emira V6.

The Emira V6 is powered by a supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine, paired with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The Emira Turbo and Turbo SE variants feature a 4-cylinder variable geometry turbocharged engine, mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The Turbo SE accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4 seconds and has a top speed of 290 kmph. Prices for the Emira start at ₹3.22 crore. The final cost depends on customisation options, exchange rates, and other external factors.

Lotus Emeya Hyper-GT

The Emeya marks Lotus’s entry into the all-electric GT segment and sets new standards for performance and luxury. The Emeya R, showcased at the showroom, holds the title of the fastest-accelerating EV sold in India, boasting a 0 to 100 km/h time of under 2.8 seconds. The Emeya delivers an impressive 905 bhp and 985 Nm of torque and reaches a top speed of 260 kmph. Equipped with a 102 kWh battery, the Emeya R offers a WLTP-claimed range of 480 km, while the standard Emeya achieves an extended range of 610 km.

The Emeya blends cutting-edge technology with sustainable luxury. The interiors incorporate Wyron Truecycle thread, a sustainable material. Key features also include A triple-screen setup in the front, a tiltable rear touch panel for controlling seat and door functions, photochromic rear windows, a panoramic sunroof, and more. Prices for the Emeya start at ₹2.33 crore, with the final cost varying based on the chosen specifications.

While Lotus also had the Eletre on display, there is no information currently about its availability in India. With the launch of its exclusive showroom and these state-of-the-art models, Lotus Cars India wants to start increasing their presence and market share in the luxury segment.
