The Hyundai Creta EV gets two battery options with up to 473km claimed range

Hyundai has taken the wraps off the upcoming Creta EV ahead of its official launch at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Hyundai’s mid-size SUV will now be available in an all-electric avatar. With a bold futuristic design, advanced technology and up to 473km driving range, Creta Electric will appeal to a larger audience. Built on Hyundai’s global EV technology, it will take on the likes of Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6 and MG ZS EV. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

The Creta EV boasts a pixelated graphic front grille with integrated charging port and a pixelated graphic lower bumper. Adding to these are the Active Air Flap (AAF) which helps in optimising airflow for cooling and improved aerodynamics. The connected DRL and LED headlights add up to the overall flare of the vehicle. The rear also gets a connecting tail light along with pixelated graphic rear bumper. Complementing this design are the 17-inch aero alloy wheels. It also gets features like ADAS, 360 degree camera and silver bumper trims.

The dashboard layout of the Creta EV is very similar to its ICE counterparts with a few key differences. List of key features starts with a 10.25-inch dual curvilinear screen each for infotainment and digital cluster, panoramic sunroof, 360 degree parking camera, advanced climate control with dual zone automatic AC, Hyundai Bluelink connectivity, a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature both inside and outside the vehicle, in-car payment (pay from your car’s screen for charging) technology, single pedal drive, Level-2 ADAS, digital key and shift by wire technology. In terms of safety, Creta EV comes equipped with 75 advanced safety features among which 52 features are standard across all variants, some of which are 6 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brakes, hill-start assist, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring.

Creta EV will be offered with 2 battery pack options: a 51.4kWh with a range of 473km and a 42kWh with a range of 390km. It supports fast charging with 10 to 80 per cent in just 58 minutes (DC charger) and 10 to 100 per cent charge in 4 hours (11kW home charging - AC charger) and offers smart connected home charger. It can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 7.9 seconds. The battery pack comes with a 8-years/1,60,000km warranty for the owner's peace of mind.

Creta EV will be available in 4 variants: Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence. Customers will get to choose from a total of 8 monotone and 2 dual-tone colour options, including 3 matte shades. The Creta EV will be launched during the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 and is expected to be priced between `21-23 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on the likes of Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6 and MG ZS EV in the fast growing electric SUV space.
